What started as a simple coffee meeting in December quickly turned into one of the most collaborative creative projects I’ve ever been part of. This Sheridan, Wyoming styled elopement shot at Lark and Spur is proof that when local vendors come together with a shared vision, something beautiful happens.

A Coffee Meeting That Sparked a Vision

In December, I met up with Kara, the content creator involved in this elopement for coffee in Ranchester, WY. I told her that I had been wanting to create a styled shoot. The vision was something romantic, intimate, and inspired by the beauty of Wyoming elopements especially in winter.

I already had a couple of models in mind whose connection and chemistry I knew would photograph beautifully. When I reached out to them and asked if they would be interested in being part of a styled elopement shoot in Sheridan, Wyoming, they were immediately on board. Their excitement made it all feel real.

From there, the idea began to take shape faster than I ever expected.

Choosing the Perfect Sheridan, Wyoming Venue: Lark and Spur

Kara reached out to Lark and Spur, a stunning venue located right here in Sheridan, Wyoming. When venue owner Aubrey heard about the vision for an intimate elopement-inspired styled shoot, she graciously said yes and allowed us to utilize her cabin space.

Lark and Spur was the perfect backdrop. The space offers a warm, romantic atmosphere that feels ideal for couples planning a Wyoming elopement or wedding. The natural textures, beautiful light, and thoughtful design elevated every detail of the session.

Having a venue in Sheridan that supports local creatives makes all the difference — and this shoot was a perfect example of that.

Supporting Local Sheridan, Wyoming Wedding Vendors

One of my favorite parts of this styled elopement shoot was that every single vendor involved was located close to Sheridan, Wyoming. There’s something incredibly special about showcasing the talent we have right here in our own community.

Aubrey connected us with a local Sheridan bakehouse that created the most stunning cake. It was elegant, delicate, and perfectly suited for an intimate elopement aesthetic. Not only was it beautiful — it tasted amazing.

We also included a thoughtfully styled charcuterie board featuring beautifully crafted almonds that were almost too pretty to eat (almost!) from The Barn Door Market. These small details added texture, warmth, and that cozy Wyoming touch that makes elopements feel so personal.

For hair and makeup, we brought in Cenzi, a talented Buffalo, WY based makeup and hair artist who created a soft, romantic look that enhanced everything without overpowering it. The styling felt effortless, timeless, and perfect for a bride planning a Wyoming elopement.

Pulling Off a Styled Elopement Shoot in Under 10 Days

Here’s the part that still amazes me: this entire styled elopement shoot at Lark and Spur in Wyoming came together in under 10 days.

Ten days.

What could have felt rushed instead felt aligned. Every vendor responded with enthusiasm. Every piece fell into place. It truly felt like our Sheridan wedding community rallied together to create something meaningful.

The day of the shoot was filled with calm energy, beautiful natural light, and genuine connection between our models. Nothing felt forced. It felt like a real Wyoming elopement day — intimate, emotional, and full of intentional details.
